Herbal Toast-October 13

Hello, this is the first post of Kreative Kitchen! Our goal is to create an online cookbook for you to enjoy. Our names are Kamryn Kelley and Cora Woodcook. Our first recipe we would like to share with you is an herbal toast.

This herbal toast is a quick, easy recipe that you can whip up in minutes. Great for lunch, side dishes and snacks, this treat is one that can be made right before rushing out. One great thing about it is that you can alter it depending on your herbal preference.

       Ingredients:
  • a quarter teaspoon of dried basil
  • an eighth teaspoon of thyme
  • a half teaspoon of oregano
  • a drizzle of olive oil (we used wild mushroom sage flavored, but you can use anything you have on hand)
  • 1 slice of bread  (Literally anything would work. Literally anything called bread.)
  • 2 cherry tomatoes
        Instructions:
  1. Cut off the crusts of your bread. (This is optional.)
  2. Toast the bread until golden brown.
  3. Mix all of the herbs in a small bowl.
  4. Drizzle the oil onto the bread.
  5. Top with herb mixture.
  6. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Arrange them on the bread.
  7. Enjoy!
